First Lady

Kameshia Dean Stokes Thomas  is the devoted wife of  Pastor Vincent Thomas, Senior Pastor of Grace Covenant.  They have been happily married since September 21, 1985 and are the proud parents three children and three grandchildren.  She is presently the Senior Pastor of the sonship church, Central African Baptist Church in Augusta, Ga.  Previously she served at Grace Covenant as a worship leader since  it's inception in 2004 til 2019. She is the spiritual leader and founder of W.W.W.  Women Who Worship,  Doing The Girl Thing God's Way, Glow Ministries, ( God's Ladies Of Worship International Network of Ga.), G.L.O.W.I.N.G.), The 5th  Annual  " Finally!" Women's Conference, ( www.glowministries.org), Coffee With Christ held monthly.

 

     She is the published author of her first book  " Finally! The Manual For Ladies That Lead.  Pastor Kameshia was actually invited to do her very first book signing at Borders Book Store in Arbor Place Mall, Douglasville, Ga.  Her book can be purchased on this site.  She was licensed by her father the Late Rev. Charles L. Stokes Founder and Pastor of Grace Covenant Baptist church in the year 2000.  In 2001 She was ordained on the same day along with her husband by the Late Rev. Charles L. Stokes,  the renowned United States President Obama Award recipient Dr. C. T. Viviane and the late Rev. L.W. Jay. 

 

    Presently, Pastor Kameshia is the Founder of Kameshia Stokes Thomas Ministries

( www.kameshiastokesthomasministries.org ) All who know her are instantly drawn to her because of her inherited wisdom, her love for God and His people. Her greatest passion is ministering the Word of God that brings others to Christ.  Many affectionately refer to her as ' Mom' or  Pastor Kameshia or Pastor K.  Her spiritual parents are Bishop Dale C. Bronner and Dr. Nina Bronner. Though Pastor Kameshia has several influential mentors the most influential woman in her life was her mother the late Mrs. Gwinne Dean Stokes. She believes as her mother taught that, " Where there is a "Will" there is a Way."  and as her father Rev C. L. Stokes taught: " His Grace is sufficient.".

 

   Pastor Kameshia is a member of the C.B.C. of which her father was one of the original founding fathers. She received her B.A. Degree in English from Paine College in Augusta, Ga. and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Divinity from Antioch Seminary in Marietta, Ga.  Presently, she is a professional Life Coach where she studied at the " The Dream Releaser Life Coaching "  under Dr. Samuel Chand. She did further studies at, Unversity of Ga. in Athens, Ga, Pastor Kameshia later attended West Ga. in Carrolton, Ga. concentrating on childhood education and Counseling, at  Mercer University in Macon, Ga. additional studies at Spelman College include Drama. She recently experienced studio recording with producer Rodney " Dark Child " Jerkins under the direction of Lee Daniels.

 

      In 2014 and 2015  Pastor Kameshia received 3 Toastmaster's Awards in the category of Humor and her Competant Communicator Award certificate. She is currently studying for her Masters Degree in Theology  at the Antioch Seminary in Marrietta, Ga.  She is the co owner with her husband of their family owned and operated business, " Dean Carrington and Associates".

 

      Her favorite piece of family trivia is that she met her husband at Paine College, her mom met dad at Paine College and her grandmother met her grandfather at Paine. Her son attended Paine and found his wife in the very same city after he transferred to Augusta State.
